I know I made a similar comment on last week's reading, but I was again surprised by the accuracy of the future predictions. Even from the very bare-bones nature of the web (or W3 if you will) at the time of this writing, the leading thinkers made some pretty specific forecasts of what would be added to the web that did come true.

Thus, it can also be our role to look forward. If many of the achievements of the web in 2014 were more or less predicted in 1994, why should we be content to merely push the ball forward only a little, simply refining what we have now? All of this growth has happened in only 20 years, and it was visible from 20 years ago. Where can we take it all next?
